Today I went to a Medical Transcription conference for Washington state. There were some very good speakers. There was a financial planner talking about long-term care insurance. I was very interested in this, as this is what I am dealing with right now for three members of my family. My grandfather right now is in a nursing home, my grandma was just recently in the hospital, and my dad's left side is paralyzed and recently his driver's license was suspended and he has been having dizzy spells. I am the one who makes most of the decisions for all of them and there are so many issues to deal with that I am swimming in the choices and decisions to make. Anyway, I talked with the speaker afterwards and we had a nice discussion. The conference has been fun for meeting other people in the same line of work as well. I met one woman who saw my Harley T-shirt and asked if I ride. She rides too, so we discussed our motorcycles and learning to ride. The conference will also be tomorrow with a few more speakers. I am enjoying it so far and look forward to tomorrow. I was also promoting my friend's new book that was just published in September. She is also a medical transcriptionist in Washington state so I wanted to support her. She wrote a book called "A New Promise" and her name is Julie Eller. So if you like to read, she has written a teriffic book that I think you would really enjoy.
